About me – The doctor turned fellow traveller

I am a retired anaesthesiologist of over 40 years experience, but over my travels in 50 different lands have I realised that most people associate India to the Mahatma , the Maharajah on an elephant, Varanasi, the chaos and the Taj Mahal!

Very few know that tucked away in the northeast corner of India, lies a virgin region that needs your presence to discover, explore and tell the world.

Being an ethnic Assamese, I decided to switch track from medicine to travel experiences.

I needed to showcase what my birthplace offers, and share with you the region’s charisma, cultures, ethnic spectrum, mysteries , magical happenings and intriguing history.

By the way, my full name, Khafiluzzaman Ahmed, is a tongue twister for the Danes who just call me Zaman. Hence I decided to embark upon Zamans East India Travel Odyssey.
