Day 01: Arrival at Copenhagen

Explore Copenhagen by night. Overnight in Copenhagen

Day 02: Copenhagen City Tour

Explore a charming blend of history, modern design,a vibrant waterfront life and the Danish ‘hygge’. Overnight in Copenhagen.

Day 03: Copenhagen-Nuuk

Assemble at Kastrup Airport for the Copenhagen–Nuuk flight (≈4.5 hrs). On arrival in Greenland’s capital, we transfer to the hotel and begin a guided city walk. Highlights include the National Museum (with artifacts and Qilakitsoq mummies), the colonial harbor with centuries-old houses, Hans Egede’s House and statue, the “Mother of the Sea” sculpture, the open-air market, Greenlandic Parliament, and Katuaq cultural center. Return to hotel for check-in, free time, and dinner. Overnight Hotel Hans Egede

Day 04: Fjord Adventure – Tapas – Coffee

Enjoy a 2.5-hour sailing trip through Nuuk’s fjords, where sea eagles and seals are often spotted. The captain chooses the route, ensuring a relaxing journey in the footsteps of the first Inuit hunters.Back in Nuuk, gather at the Katuaq Cultural Center for Greenlandic tapas featuring local fish, meat, and seafood. Later, visit a private home for coffee, cake, and stories of daily life in Greenland. Dinner follows at the hotel. Overnight Hotel Hans Egede

Day 05: Ilulissat – City Tour

After breakfast, we fly (11:25, ~1.5 hrs) to Ilulissat, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle with 5,000 residents and many sled dogs. Its name, meaning “isbjerge” or icebergs, reflects its location at the mouth of the UNESCO-listed Isfjord, where one of the world’s most active glaciers calves 20 million tons of ice daily. Founded in 1742 as Jakobshavn, the town features colonial houses, the museum, Zion Church, and a lively harbor. After hotel check-in, we enjoy a guided walk, ending with dinner at the hotel. Day 06: Sermermiut – Isfjordscentret

We visit the old Inuit settlement of Sermermiut, set against the stunning backdrop of the Ilulissat Icefjord. Inhabited for 4,000 years, the site still holds traces of past Inuit cultures, now accessible via a 3 km boardwalk. We also explore the Isfjordscentret (opened 2021), a striking visitor center showcasing Greenland’s nature, culture, and the impacts of climate change. Dinner at Hotel Artic.

Day 07: Dog Sledding – Free Time – Northern Lights

Experience a 1.5-hour dog sledding trip across the plains behind Ilulissat (2 per sled + driver, sharing may occur). Suitable for anyone with a healthy neck and back. The rest of the day is free to explore. Dinner at the hotel. Weather permitting, join a Northern Lights Safari at 9:30 p.m. with a guided walk into the dark, starry night—complete with stories and hot juice.

Day 08: Departure

Flight from Ilulissat via Nuuk to Copenhagen, arriving by noon for the returning flight home with unforgettable memories. Optional Extension tours available from Copenhagen to other Schengen states (at extra charges)

Visa applications for Greenland are issued by Danish missions. Apply to the Danish Embassy for a Schengen visa, and on it you will also apply for visa for Greenland.  ZEITO will facilitate you in the process, but does not guarantee issuance of a visa.
